OVERVIEW

Dress to Impress is a massively popular fashion game on Roblox, played by millions and regularly charting among the platform’s top titles, with over 8.5 billion visits and peak concurrent players in the millions. Built in Roblox Studio and powered by a live-service pipeline, the game centers on creative expression, social play, and high-velocity content updates.

As a systems designer and gameplay contributor, I developed the core clothing-selection and outfit-assembly flow, shaping how players browse, combine, and present looks in-game. My work focused on translating fashion expression into intuitive moment-to-moment play. My tasks included building UI logic, item categorization, and choice architecture that supported fast iteration and player creativity at scale. I collaborated closely with the design, engineering, and art teams to prototype interactions, tune pacing, and refine the feel of the styling cycle, helping establish the foundation for the game’s signature loop and reputable community appeal.

The goal was simple: make choosing outfits feel frictionless, expressive, and social. I aimed to create a playful system that reacted to players rather than constraining them, and that could grow alongside a rapidly expanding wardrobe and audience.
